Business: Libbie Rothschild Sculpture
Role: Owner and Sculptor
# of Children: Adelaide (2.5) and Henry (8.5 months)
I'm a stay at home mom with a sculptural side hustle, so my day consists of keeping the kiddos alive and happy; meanwhile working during naptime and bedtime.
My favorite part of the day is our afternoon walk in the neighborhood after nap time. Both kids are refreshed and ready to play, where as I have had a chance to regroup and create. This combo *usually* makes for a lovely time.
What’s the one thing you hope your children have learned from you that they will share with future generations?
I hope to keep my children grounded and present; it's so easy to get caught up expectations, comparisons, and what should or could be.
Any tricks for keeping the balance between work and family?
Wine and lots of it! No seriously, find what works for YOU and if you're starting a business with children or hoping to, ease your way in. Allow yourself some time to work out the kinks and give yourself a ton of grace, you will figure it out!
My mother, who is now deceased, had a catch phrase: "it's a gosh darn beautiful day". She taught us all to cherish the beauty. The thing is it's not always gosh darn beautiful, but those dark days make the beautiful days that much sweeter.
What’s your most treasured accessory?
My wedding ring! This ring was my mother's and I love carrying a piece of her around with me every day, she is right there with me every step of the way.
What accessory makes you feel most like a woman?
Again, my wedding ring, I feel incomplete without it.
I am currently obsessing over everything custom, the rosemary hoops, and the ring stacks!!
This month I have pieces headed to a new territory; Blue Print Interiors in Dallas, Texas!
