Need Help Gifting?

It’s me, Ellie, back again with a thought that floats around in my brain year round but really drifts to the surface this time of year..gifting. As basic as that may sound, as it’s the season of gifting, I find all year to be the best time to consider gifting. May not always mean to buy all year, but I mean to ponder the topic to really hit the nail on the head when it’s showtime! 

So much goes into gifting as we get older. Budgeting for gifting, gifting with meaning, what we ask for, expectations, who we’re buying for, etc. Something I’ve personally noticed in an age of STUFF, is the importance of gifting intentionally. And this could take all year to figure out. Personally, people seem to outgrow asking for meaningless items. We’d rather receive nothing than get something we don’t really Want or Need. I think that’s beautiful…adulthood. With that being said, the whole year is the time to pay attention to the people you love. What truly speaks to them? What simple or beautiful things bring them the most joy? What hobby have they picked up that you could contribute to to help them excel? What are they celebrating this year that deserves a token of appreciation or celebration? Rule of thumb…just pay attention! If we do this, gifting will be so much easier and mean so much more when the right time calls!
