A cushion cut is a square with the corners softened, and it throws light in broad, slow flashes. It looks like a diamond that has already been in a family for a while. I set this one-carat cushion in a bezel of carved gold to sit right at the collarbone.
Then there’s the back. A single letter is carved by hand where it rests against your skin, and only you know it’s there. Choose your own initial. Or choose the initial of the person this necklace is going to one day, and wear it for the thirty years in between.
