Mary Frances was working at her bench one afternoon when her daughter — maybe three years old — wandered over and left a Bahamian coin on the worktable. Mary Frances had grown up saving foreign coins from every place she'd traveled, and she'd just come back from the Bahamas. Something about that coin stopped her. The wavy edges. The little lip on the face. The way it felt like jewelry that hadn't been made yet.
She went to work the same day.
The Wavy Disc Pendant is hand-carved in wax and cast in solid 14k yellow gold. It has a smooth flat face with a wavy perimeter that catches light differently depending on how it moves. It layers beautifully with the Scallop Pendant or is perfect alone on a bare neck. It became a best seller almost immediately. There's not much else like it.
